The Simple Natural Mama Christmas Gift Guide

As Christmas and the holiday season is fast approaching, many of us are looking for any creative and affordable ideas we can to shop for our list of loved ones with time to give before festivities. If there is a simple natural mama on your list, then look no further than this gift guide.

Who is the simple natural mama, you ask? Just what the name says- the natural minded mom who likes to keep life simple – being intentional, perhaps minimal, back to the basics, focused on what’s really important. So this mama doesn’t want something super flashy or expensive- but something thoughtful, purposeful, and useful.

She’s the one who first looks to natural remedies God gave us such as herbs and essential oils. She’s also the one who as a rule keeps more books than toys for her kids in the home. I’ll go more into what she looks like in  another post, but just think on this: “Jesus loving crunchy mama meets becoming unbusy” …or something along those lines!

Now that we understand that, what’s this list? Here is my gift guide for the Simple Natural Mama (and a few for her kids, too):

Essential Oils. We love Simply Earth the best, and here are some good reasons why. The Simple Natural Mama always enjoys getting new oils and finding uses for them in her home. Some staples are lavender, tea tree, clean & fresh, and citrus. Oh, and she may love a beautiful new diffuser, or storage box, too. A diffuser bracelet or necklace is fair game as well!

Melissa & Doug. The Simple Natural Mama loves to be purposeful with toys for her kids. As a rule, when given the option, wooden toys are chosen over plastic. Melissa & Doug has a wide assortment of wooden educational and creative play toys available, many easily accessible on Amazon. I’d recommend any of these puzzles, this play food and kitchenware, or this broom set. Plus if any purposeful toys are given, she’d be happy to have reason to get rid of old ones taking up too much space!

Books. The Simple Natural Mama loves to research. She researches everything for her family- healthy recipes, essential oil safety, nutrition guides, herbs for ailments, allergen free snacks, strategic children’s museum stops for the family road trip… and then there’s the fun reading, such as True You by Michelle DeRusha which releases in January, or Writer Mama by Christina Katz to push her forward in her dreams. The Life Giving Parent is always a good one, too, by the Clarksons.

Herbal Tinctures. The Simple Natural Mama is always on the lookout for wisdom in herbs for every ailment she comes across. Earthley creates everything she may want- maybe just get her a gift card! That aside, herbal tinctures are to her as candy is to kids. It’s just fun and exciting to learn about herbs and uses and natural remedies. Check out Nourish Her Naturally, just for her, and maybe grab an Ease the Ache, too.

P.S. There’s a flash sale at Earthley this weekend: get 25% off with the code HOLIDAYFLASH and check out their gift guide here.

Pens & Journals. Find some beautiful ones she will get excited to use. The Simple Natural Mama is always taking notes and writing down things she sees or notices, whether it’s a reaction after food, a to-do list for after playgroup, grocery lists and new recipes, the funny things her toddler says which she doesn’t want to forget, or a letter to a friend for when she remembers to mail it. Plus, you can never have too many pretty pens!

Natural Skin Care. This ultimate skin care bundle is just what the simple natural mama needs. She needs to start taking time for herself, after everything invested into her kids and home. This plant based bundle will be a natural motivation for that evening home spa treatment she never knew she needed! Included is a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, serum, mask..and so much more. There are many options to get just the customizable set for her skin type and needs.

And that may be where the list ends! Why, you ask? Well, the Simple Natural Mama doesn’t just want stuff but wants what is useful for her and her family. There may be more you can add on here, and for the details I’ll make another gift guide for another day. Remember, she is also minimalist-minded, so she doesn’t want 15 new pairs of shoes for her collection or the latest designer jeans. She may want cash to go find some great cute deals at Goodwill and gift cards to her favorite online apothecary such as Simply Earth or Earthley. But all that to say, she tries to keep things simple. So if you know a Simple Natural Mama, don’t make this too hard on yourself- use this gift guide for some inspiration!
